Yes! We've incorporated 4 design features that work together to minimize and prevent glasses from fogging.

1) Hidden airflow vent - this feature gives your breath somewhere to go. It allows your breath to be redirected out and down, away from your glasses.

2) Hidden metal nose strip - this feature helps contour The Commuter to the bridge of your nose, helping create a better seal.

3) Hidden foam insert - the hidden foam insert embedded within The Commuter sit on the sides of the bridge of your nose and act as another line of defense against your breath flowing upwards to fog your glasses.

4) Build-in elastic band - this final design feature we've built in helps contour the whole winter face protector to your face to create a great seal.

The Commuter was designed to help you withstand the harshest winter conditions. Even though The Commuter technically does not cover a large surface area on your body, you'll be surprised at how effective it is at keeping you warm in the winter, and how big of a difference it makes. 

The Commuter is optimal for temperatures from 5°C to -25°C (41°F to -13°F).

The Commuter was designed specifically to avoid the dreaded hat hair, so you don't have to worry about that disheveled look when you arrive to your destination. With The Commuter, can you still maintain that polished look while keeping warm in the winter.

The earband is indeed adjustable (and removable). There's a cord that runs along the top of the earband that you can tighten to fit your head size and ensure that stays above the ears and doesn't slip down. We incorporated this feature after we were frustrated with other market designs always promising that it covers your ears but never stay up.

Important: The earband works best when the cord that runs along the top of it is tightened to gather fabric just above the ear to create a small pocket. Watch the video "Fine Tuning Your Commuter for the Best Fit video" at the bottom of The Commuter page.

Absolutely! We have many women who have purchased The Commuter. Please see the sizing guide to choose the right size for you on The Commuter page.

Not yet. We offer four sizes to fit the variety of head sizes of the world but do not have children’s sizes yet. Then again, late teens can fit the mask depending on their measurements, just refer to the measurement guide.

We have specifically chosen high quality materials that will last in color, keeping a nice rich color, as well as paying attention to durability, softness and comfort. For The Commuter, we elected to use a polyester blend for its superior weave and light weight quality.

Yes! Many of our customers are already using their mask for a variety of uses such as skiing, biking, and it’s even great for outdoor workers such as construction workers in the cold seasons. And we would be lying if we weren’t to say that some customers are even using their mask for cosplay purposes. You decide what you need it for.

No, in fact the idea came 8 years prior after Garlon walking to work for business meetings was looking for a solution to staying warm but did not want to mess up his hair. 8 years later, no product came to market and Emberhurst was born. 

 If we have enough of a demand, then yes, we will add in more colors.

No, you can easily snap off The Commuter's removeable earband if you’d like to wear the beanie

We listened to our customers and they told us that some people either don’t care if they mess up their hair or more often, they had no hair. That's why we created the super soft Emberhurst Merino Wool Beanie. This way we can accommodate everyone!
